Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

UP-LLM (the “Service”) is operated by UP-LLM. For any privacy-related enquiries, contact privacy@up-llm.com.

2. What we collect

When you create an account and use the Service, we process:

  • Account data — email address and authentication credentials (handled by AWS Cognito).
  • Quote and conversation data — risk information, uploaded documents, and chat history you submit while building a quote. Stored in AWS (DynamoDB and S3).
  • Operational logs — error and request logs needed to keep the Service running and secure.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) with Google Consent Mode v2 to understand how the site is used. Your consent choice controls how GA4 behaves:

  • By default (before you choose, or if you decline): analytics_storage is denied. GA4 sends an anonymous, aggregated ping with no client identifier, and no cookies are written.
  • If you accept via the consent banner: GA4 writes two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<MeasurementID>, used to distinguish users and sessions. Both expire after 2 years.

In both cases:

  • IP addresses are anonymised before storage by Google.
  • Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled.
  • Query strings are stripped from every page path before being sent.
  • We do not pass any account identifier, email, session ID, or personal information to Google.

4. Cookies

This website may set the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary — AWS Cognito session cookies, set only while you are signed in, to keep you authenticated.
  • Analytics (optional, with your consent) — _ga and _ga_<MeasurementID> set by Google Analytics. Set only if you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser’s localStorage (not a cookie) under the key up-llm-cookie-consent.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settingslink in the site footer.

5. How we use your data

We use the data above to provide the Service (build, rate, and deliver quotes), to communicate with you about quotes you have requested, and to maintain the security and reliability of the platform.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data with infrastructure providers (AWS) and with insurance brokerages or underwriters strictly as needed to deliver the quote you requested.

7. Retention

Account and quote data is retained for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and audit obligations.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@up-llm.com. Subject to applicable law, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
